Abstract

The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized various sectors, and healthcare is no exception. One of the most significant areas in healthcare that AI is transforming is the field of pharmacology, particularly in predicting drug-drug interactions (DDIs). These interactions, where one drug alters the effects of another, can range from mild to life-threatening and have long been a major challenge in ensuring patient safety. However, with the rise of AI and machine learning (ML), the ability to predict, understand, and mitigate these interactions is reaching unprecedented levels. This is poised to enhance pharmaceutical safety and pave the way for personalized medicine on a scale never before imagined.
