Abstract

In recent years, the growing threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has emerged as one of the most significant global health challenges. The overuse and misuse of antibiotics, in particular, have driven the rise of resistant pathogens, complicating the treatment of infections, extending hospital stays, and increasing healthcare costs. In response to this alarming trend, Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs (ASPs) have been established in healthcare settings around the world to optimize the use of antimicrobial agents. One of the key contributors to the success of these programs is the clinical pharmacist.
